The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Brontë
has been selected by the Women's National Book Association
as a Great Group Read of 2009!

Dear Book Club Members:

I am thrilled by the great honor which the National Women's Books Association has bestowed upon my novel, "The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Brontë." The Committee selected nine titles as "Great Group Reads of 2009," based on the novels' appeal to reading groups. They explain: "All are books with strong narratives peopled by fully realized characters. . . Great Group Reads will help passionate readers find that great mid-list fiction and nonfiction that may be overlooked in the clamor over best-sellers."

I am absolutely delighted, because I truly believe that Charlotte’s story will open up lively discussions about a host of timely and provocative topics. I am equally delighted by the warm and wonderful emails which I've received from members of Reading Groups and Book Clubs from all over the world. I am so grateful for your support!

Are you reading one of my books? Do you have a few words or a photo that you'd like to share?

If so, please leave a message in my Guest Book, or email me a photo of your group with a caption, and I'll post it! Send photos as .jpgs to: AuthorSyrieJames@gmail.com.

Thanks so much!

Syrie James
