Nocturne is one of the best books I have ever read!!! I read it in 3 days....I would have read it in one sitting if work did not get in the way!! I read it on my lunch break and could not put it down. Please, please, please write a sequel.... I will be checking out all of your other books. Thanks for the great story!!!

Amber Gilliford (Overland Park, KS)

Hi Syrie: I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Nocturne. It was the best novel I have read in a long time. I left a 5 star review on Amazon. Here is an excerpt: "Beautiful and Haunting Love Story... This was one of those stories, you know the ones, that keep you up reading long into the night. I could not put this one down. The author has this incredible talent for making you feel as though you were there in the lush Colorado Mountains, snowed in and watching this beautiful story unfold before you. I was enthralled by this amazing book. I never cried so much over the ending of a book in my life. I truly hope the author decides to write a follow up to this incredible, deeply moving story of forbidden love... Put this on your must read list. You will love it!"

Krissy Phillips (New Jersey)

One of my all time favorites!!!!

Valerie Epperson (Mebane, North Carolina)

I read the book Nocturne in two days. I loved it!

Kate (Illinois)

Just finished Nocturne, your book cover caught my eye. Wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this lovely story about 2 mature, intellegent and interesting people. After reading your notes in the back of the book I am really hoping to hear more of Micheal and Nicole. Looking forward to reading more of your novels.

Colleen Manor (Samaria, Michigan)

One of the best books I've ever read!

Barbara Mann-barr (Charlotte, North Carolina)

I loved it - have passed it on to a friend and am now reading Dracula, My Love. Thanks for the great reads, Syrie!

Kathe Shannon Hickey (Palo Alto, California)

Hey! Just wanted to stop by and let you know... I LOVED Nocturne! I picked it up on a long road trip and only expected to enjoy it moderately (it being a romantic book and all). Anyway, as I started getting into it, I couldn't put it down. I read it in two sittings and stayed up way too late finishing it. As a guy who isn't at all into romance, I have to give you props for pulling it off. Well done. I would recommend this book to even my most macho fellow readers :) I'd love to see a sequel to the story.

Jed Jones

I just wanted to say that I admire you soo much and think you are a brilliant writer. Your books really make my day. I'm so happy that I found your books, they are amazing:) Keep doing what you're doing, girl! I'll be sure to stay posted about new books!

Kaitlin De Santis (New York)

Just wanted to say that i LOVE Nocturne!!! I didnt want it to end! Great job!

Stephanie (West Virginia)

I fell in love with Nocturne. Please tell me there will be a sequel. Thank you.

Maureen Sichafer (New Castle, PA)

I checked out NOCTURNE from the library and LOVED it so much that I ordered it so I could have a copy to read again (along with all 3 of your other books). My favorite books of all time are Wuthering Heights & Jane Eyre, and I've always been intrigued by vampires, so am looking forward to reading all my new books by you!! Thank you (and don't let it be the end of Nicole & Michael!)

Debbie Bowers Parker (Chesapeake, VA)

I just finished reading Nocturne, I fell in love with Michael, so kind thoughtful and caring, and most of all his love for Nicole. Thank you!

Sue Franklyn (Mortlach SK Canada)

I have just recently finished your book Nocturne. A friend had recommended it to me, and said that I would absolutely love it. She indeed was right. I enjoyed every second of the book... I felt like I was watching everything happen and I was somehow involved... This one was spectacular. I enjoyed your book so much that I encourage you to write a sequel.

Rebekah Ariano (Corona, CA)

I have read Nocturne numerous times now and I still get a lump in my throat and shed a few tears. I would love to know if there is to be a sequel!

Louise Bentley (London, England)

I have just finished reading Nocturne and fell in love with it!! I read it in two days. I'm really hoping for a sequel? Hopefully the story of Nicole and Michael will continue.

Dona Cordiello (Lindenhurst, NY)

I am so excited you have a new book coming out! I read all of your books that you have written so far and I Love them! I wish your son and his beautiful bride many many years of happiness and love! You and your husband looked great at the ball! Please will you write more to the Nocturne story?

Michelle (Putnam Valley NY)

I picked up your book, Nocturne, at my local grocery store before my vacation to Nantucket Island, Mass. I just finished it and what a wonderful book (I am going to re-read the last chapter after this email). Keep writing.

Carol Welch (Windsor Locks, CT)

Nocturne is an amazing book! When I got it I thought it was about horror. After I began reading it I found out it was the most amazing book I've read in my life time. I'm just a 15 year old girl, but after reading this book it inspired me to read more of your books and share them with my friends and family. I think you're an amazing author words can't describe how this book made me feel.

Claudia Razo (CA)

I have recently become a huge fan just by reading one of your books, Nocturne. It is so compelling and quite hot. I have read it twice in the week I have had it, and will definitely read it again. I can't wait to read your other books. I write myself but compared to your novel they are like kindergarten writings. I just love Nocturne. It's the best novel I've ever read.

Marisha Crowder (Forsyth, GA)

I just finished reading "Nocturne" and it was one of the best books I have ever read! You painted the images of Nicole and Michael with such an array of color in your writing, that I felt as if I was right there with them! I too am a recently published author and wish I could create a novel as well as you did! Please keep the books coming!

Barbara Jean Barr (Charlotte, NC)

This is the first of your books I have read and I must say, I loved it. I have never been as intrigued by the whole Vampire thing as some of my friends. Romance novels were another genre I hadn't been interested in; however "Nocturne" was such a captivating story that I couldn't it down until I finished. It wasn't gushy and it didn't focus on the whole "vampire thing." The ending made me cry ... but you hinted at a sequel and I can't wait.

Penny Koebernik (Vineland, New Jersey)

I bought Nocturne last night and finished reading it today, I couldn't put it down. Also cried like a baby at the end. Really excited to see their story unfold. Also looking forward to Forbidden. Thank you so much for your novels!

Susan Flynn (Grundy, Virginia)

Wow! I just finished Nocturne a few moments ago. I still have tears in my eyes. I loved it. Great Job. I really hope that their story can go on.... I will push your book hard.... wide spread recognition will come. It definitely deserves it. Can't wait to read your other work.....very exciting. Thanks!

Sara Dabel Williams (Cody, Wyoming)

I am 22 years old and and have been loyally devoted to capital-L Literature for over a decade. Good vampire fiction has a place in my heart. Bram Stoker and Anne Rice are crown-wearers. And you are right in their class of author, in a classic, romantic, and contemporary way. You know the business of classic fiction, romance, and the paranormal/horror, and you execute it winningly. I won't comment on other authors who like to write down their tacky night fantasies in an equally tacky way, and dress them up as "novels." Nocturne IS a novella. And I am your fan.

Cheniece Smith (Jackson, Mississippi)

Hi Syrie. I desperately want, make that need the sequel to Nocturne! Is there a place I can leave info to let your publisher know how badly this sequel needs to be made?

Rachel (Washington)

For suggestions on how to help make a sequel to Nocturne possible, please check out the Nocturne FAQ page. Thanks so much for your support!

First I would like to tell you how much I love Nocturne. I was walking by the book area of Walmart and saw the cover of the book and thought what a beautiful cover. I read this book in just a couple of days. I cried... Please tell me that you have plans to write a new book with a continuation of their story. Thanks so much for a wonderful book.

Tammie Griffith (Greenville, South Carolina)

I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful book you wrote Nocturne. I bought it last night and finished this morning. It is a beautiful love story and I truly hope there is a sequel. I am going to pick up your others books as I can, I am looking forward to reading them. Once again thank you for the book!

Stephanie Paulson (Washington)

I just had the good fortune of picking up your novel Nocturne and could not put it down. I really loved the characters of Nicole and Michael. The ending was so bittersweet and moving... I can't remember two main characters that I have liked as much in a long, long time. They are so good as indivuals and so good together. I hope that you will write a sequel and give us the end to this truly romantic love story. This is the first of your novels I have read and definitely intend to read your others. Good luck on you next novel what ever it is.

Vicki Hermanson (Pennsylvania)

Hi Syrie, I just completed both Dracula My Love and Nocturne, and I have to tell you how much I loved reading both these books. I especially loved Nocturne, and I believe it to be my favorite book so far from all your books. From the moment I read page one I could not put it down. It was nearly midnight when I finished and tears were streaming down my face. Your story was so incredible I could feel the connection between the characters. I'm hoping for a sequel... please, please, please say you'll do a sequel. Can't wait for your next book.

Victoria Kessler (Bend, Oregon)

I am a huge fan of yours! I just read "Nocturne" in two days! I love all of your books (and I have read them all.) Thank you so much for your great stories, and please write more about Micheal and Nicole!

Michelle (Putnam Valley, NY)

Syrie, I have read all of your books... Because I loved the "Secret Diaries..." I went on to read so much about Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters and now their works have such new meanings to me. Because you wrote "Dracula my Love" I went on to learn about the "real" original story of Dracula and now I am very much enjoying "Nocturne" and I don't EVER read present day fiction. Due to your wonderful work I have stepped out of that comfort zone and explored these other avenues. Thank you for your hard work, wonderful characters, and beautiful books. Keep writing please!! (and you will always be the ONLY vampire novelist I will read, I do not like that sort of thing--ha, ha!)

Lori Richard (Albuquerque, NM)

I just finsihed reading Nocturne and I can't stop crying! I didn't want the story to end! It's by far my favorite book and I will read it many more times. I love Michael and Nicole! Please write a sequel!!!!!!!!!!

Natalie Tapia (Virginia)

Syrie - I loved Nocturne! Read it on my trip to Paris and Rome a couple of months ago... could not put it down... Thank you - you are a gifted story teller!

Victoria Myrick Ramos (Arroyo Grande, California)

Hi Mrs. James, I've read Nocturne forwards, backwards, sideways, and upside down about 20 times!! I love it soooo much!! I've fallen in love with your characters and I love how their love is so beautiful and how sweet he is. Your book took my breath away. I felt so close to the characters, and the end made me cry so much, but it was amazing. I'm so looking forward to Forbidden!!!!

Melissa Honeybee Mastrangel

Will you write another book to follow up after Nocturne? The book was so good. Such great love. God bless.

Shirley Broussard (Welsh, Louisiana)

My favorite novel of yours is Nocturne. I was wondering if you are working on a sequel? Fingers crossed!

Janella Haque (Illinois)

Your books are the best! I loved Nocturne and hope for more just like it. You made me feel the story and passion that was in it and the effort you put into creating such a wonderful book for us. I have told all of my friends and anytime someone asks me if I know of a great book recommendation this is the one I tell them about. I loved everthing about it and hope you continue. We can't wait for more.

Lisa Hopkins

"Nocturne" was so hauntingly beautiful. It was such an original romantic love story, and so bittersweet. I truly walked away from that book feeling as if I gained something... it really touched me. I felt my heart split in two at the end, yet I felt so hopeful for the character's future. It surprised me how truly invested I got into the characters. It was just so impressive that just two characters can keep you enthralled the entire time. It truly is a story that will always stick with me. All of your books are absolutely fantastic though!

Shannon Winer

Hi Syrie! I have read "Dracula, My Love" and "Nocturne" and I gotta say they were pretty amazing. My favorite novel so far is "Nocturne" because I really got to know each character. Yes, the ending was a little sad, but I found that "Nocturne" satisfied me... I felt a connection with all the characters in these two books. I cried at the endings of both books. I am currently reading "The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen" and it's a pretty good story. Can't wait to read "The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Bronte"! I love your books, I'm a big fan, and I can't wait for more!

Ksenia Christich-Maslov

I just finished your book Nocturne. I loved it. It had me in tears.... are you by any chance going to write a second part to it??? I hope you do!

Angie (Florida)

The only one of your books I have read so far is Nocturne. It was fantastic. I loved it. And that ending. My husband was making fun of me because I was crying so hard. LOL I can't wait to read the rest of your books.

Kendra McCormick

Nocturne is the only book of yours I have read so far and I loved it... a true love story that made me both happy and sad. I can't wait for more... please and I can't wait to read the rest of your books. Thank you Syrie for being you.

Karin Lazarus

Nocturne is my absolute favorite, each time I read it I am brought to tears! I would love a sequel.

Kathy Camp King

Nocturne is a must read and a book you can't put down once you start. Syrie, I can honestly say your books are my favs. Why? Because they are... AWESOME!!!

Debra McDonald

I love Nocturne! It took me away to a place, far away. Where snow and vampires were all I could think about.

Kayla Verley

Hello Syrie, I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on your award! It is much deserved. I also have a question. I absolutely loved "Nocturne". Do you think you would ever write a sequel to the story? Thank you.

Marianne Houghtaling (Franklin Lakes, New Jersey)

I have to first say that I have never been a fan of fantasy or mythical creature books before, as I usually stick to my historical romance books, but while I was checking our Borders going out of business sale, I picked up your book Nocturne and thought it sounded interesting along with 40 others. I've gone through more than half the books I purchased that day (mostly historical romance) and when I put my child to bed I picked up your book just for something to read in the quiet time I usually get. From the first page, I became so addicted to what may come next. I have plenty of favorite authors, but not once have I had the urge to contact any of them for their work, but I was so amazed at how taken away I was with this story that I just had to write and say that this has become one of my ultimate favorites. I stayed up the entire night reading this and couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end. I only had time to sleep for 45 mins after I finished it before driving my son to school and I even had a dream that Nicole had came back years later to Michael and I not once ever had a dream over the hundreds of books I've read. You have not converted me to a fantasy creature fan, but I will definitely be looking for more of your books in the future and thank you for such a wonderful story. This will be a book that I reread many times without tiring of it.

Kyaana (Alaska)

I had the pleasure of reading "Nocturne" and "Dracula My Love". I enjoyed them both so much that I never wanted them to end... I can't wait for the sequel to "Nocturne". You are a very gifted story teller and you have gained a "fan" for life. I will be waiting in anticipation for your next work.

Vanessa (Phoenix, AZ)

Hi Syrie,
I just received your book and I read it from cover to cover. I absolutely loved it. I cannot wait until the sequel. You have got to tell me more about Michael and Nicole. My favorite passage in the book was "Nicole felt as if an essential part of herself was being unlocked, as though they were two distinct beings who had melded one with the other, to form another, greater self."

I also found many similarities in the book to my own life. For example, I have a handcarved wooden music box wih a red rose inlaid on it. It plays "The Magic Flute". I have been collecting music boxes all of my life. I also have horses. My husband and I built our stable ourselves and I prefer to use a Hackamore. We have two horses at home at this time. I live way out in the country in Sweden with a forest of fir trees all around us. To the front of our house is a lake. Our village has only 250 people and we are pretty isolated in the woods... And I have a Michael "Mikael", my husband who is the light of my life. I have known him for 45 years in August. It is a lot of fun when you can read a book and relate so well to it. Years ago I studied to be a physicians assistant and I love the medical parts of the book. I really like that you did your research and presented it beautifully. In your Author's note you stated that "Michael and Nicole's story is far from over." Please continue with a sequel and then perhaps even a film. Thank you for writing this heartwarming, romantic, exciting book for others to share.

Kim Hammer Danielsson (Sweden)

I just finished reading Nocturne - the tears are still drying on my face, but I had to tell you how much I loved it. I do hope you revisit this story. Michael and Nicole belong together... Thank you for sharing your talent and vision with us. I already have "The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen" and "The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Bronte" has already been shipped. I am not ready to move on to another story yet - I want to stay with Michael and Nicole a little longer before I move to your next book. Nocturne would make a lovely motion picture. Thank you once again.

Paula DePierro (Mansfield, MA)

I just finished Nocturne, I could not put it down till it was finished. I loved this story so much I did not want it to end but it did, and it left tears in my eyes.... Thank you for such an amazing story. I can't wait to read more of your work.

Shannon Shuey (Colorado)

Nocturne is one of the best books I've ever read. I wish it never had to end. I Love it... This book spoiled me so bad that I could not be satified with any book for months after reading it.

Helena James (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

I just finished Nocturne and I was moved to tears. Thank you for writing such a beautiful book. I hope there will be a sequel!

Kathy Camp King (Kennesaw, Georgia)

I just had four of my friends also read Nocturne we all loved it and very much hope for another one. Either the "In a series" or more just like it!

Lisa Hopkins

Nocturne was the best book I have ever read. I bought it to read on the plane to Las Vegas. I could not put it down. I read over 140 pages on the plane to Vegas and finished the book on the way home. I cried as I read the poem at the end. It was so real. I can't wait to read Dracula My Love! I do hope you will write a sequel to Nocturne.

Marcie Childress

Hello Syrie, Just finished Nocturne. I couldn't put it down. Read it in 2 days!!! Went on Youtube to hear Chopin's Nocturne and Rachminoff Musical Moment in E Minor. It gave me an even better sense of what they experienced. I really enjoyed the bits with Charles Dickens and Robert Burns. I have read all your four books and loved them all. I would read your sequel to Nocturne. Want to see Nicole and Michael again, even for a week....I'd love for Nicole to pick up Michael's book and remember their four days together.

Marilou Marshall (Coquitlam, BC, Canada)

I loved Nocturne! Loved it, loved it, loved it!! You should really write another like that one!! It is so hard to find a great book that you don't want to put down. I put it on my Nook Friday night couldn't put it down and my husband had to take it away from me at three in the morning so I would sleep. I couldn't wait to get up and start reading again so at seven thirty it was back in my hands-I finished that afternoon. I very much want another like it. I hope that you might work that in one day- you are amazing & I love the way you wrote it. Thank you for a GREAT book. I have recommended it to all my friends and family. We need a movie from it!

Lisa Hopkins (Kentucky)

I had a Syrie James moment today at work with one of my fellow booksellers. Rachel is a period movie and historical fiction fan in her early twenties. She loves Austen, the Brontes and Twilight! I knew about her passion for Austen movies, Jane Eyre, and Wuthering Heights, but I did not know until today that she is one of your biggest fans. I have "Nocturne" up as my staff rec and told her that the author was inspired by Richard Armitage when she was writing it. She is a huge RA fan as well. I told her she must read it. She just smiled smugly at me and told she already had, and loved it. I told her you had contributed a story to my anthology and I had visited you in LA just last week. She asked "You KNOW her?" She insisted that I tell you that you MUST write a sequel. She also raved about all of your other books. I told her about the new angel themed teen novel that you wrote with your son and her eyes got as big as saucers. You have groupies! It must be so gratifying to write and send your darling children out into the world and inspire these kinds of reactions. Brava!

Laurel Ann Nattress (Washington)

I, just moments ago, finished reading Nocturne. I'm still crying, tears are covering my laptop keyboard as I write this. Nocturne, is without a doubt, one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life. The connection Nicole and Michael make throughout the book is absolutely amazing and you do a wonderful job of providing detail. As I read, I could picture everything that was happening and literally feel the emotions... I was wondering if there was a chance of you writing up a follow up to this book. A sequel, maybe. Or even just a very short short-story... They shared and went through so much in such a short time span, and came out with the strongest love possible... I've read all your other books and loved them all, but this one seems to be my favorite. I have recommended Nocturne to four of my friends, all of which are going to read it... I'm really interested to know if you're considering some sort of follow up with Nicole and Michael's love story. I, without a doubt would buy it, and I know many others would too. There's so many unanswered questions! Well, I'm going to go reread the book now!

Marissa (New York)

Dear Marissa: I am thrilled that "Nocturne" touched you so deeply. I, too, cried while writing the ending, and through every single revision! Many readers have asked for a sequel to "Nocturne," and I'd love to write one. In my mind, Nicole and Michael's story is far from over. For suggestions on how to help make a sequel possible, please click here.

I must admit I loved Nocturne. It is the first novel I've read by you and I just had to ask the question. Is there a chance for a second or short story follow up on Michael or Nicole? By the way I am very impressed, I have never read a book with only two characters and one location.

Jodie Green (Goodreads)

Hi there! I just wanted to say thank you ... I love reviewing your books and I hope I'm always at the top of the list to see the next one. I am a HUGE fan... Keep at the writing, you really are one of the best out there now!

Amy Lignor (New Mexico)

This book is the most touching, emotional, and bittersweet stories that I've read in a while. I started this in the morning and finished it the same day. I could not put it down. Ms. James did an excellent job of keeping the readers interest in a story where there are only two characters interacting with one another the entire time. The story and events are told from both Michael and Nicole's POV. Which I thought was great... What I found enchanting and romantic was the way they related and how they got to know one another. Through there discussions, their reactions, and how they read one another, it was quite believable that these 2 could actually fall in love with each other in such a brief time.

I found the ending true to real life and circumstance, and I felt it was a perfect ending to their story. This book had me in tears quite a few times. Especially when Nicole and Michael shared their demons from their past. I do not want to give anything away for those who have not read this book. But it is Haunting, Romantic, Sexy, Emotional, and Bittersweet. I highly recommend this read.

Ebone **Princess Nhya** (Indianapolis, IN)

I am a Librarian for the City of Phoenix. I am reading your book, "Nocturne." I wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying it. I am taking home "Dracula, My Love," on MP3. I cannot wait to get started listening. Keep up the great writing!

Karen Rude Librarian II Yucca Library (Peoria, AZ)

I should start off by stating that I generally do not feel compelled to write to strangers, let alone best-selling authors, but I have decided to write to you to express my fondness for a couple of your novels which I have recently read, "Nocturne" and "Dracula, My Love." They are both excellent pieces of work and both novels left me thinking about the characters long after I finished reading, which I think is an essential characteristic of a great read... [I loved] their respective charming, sophisticated, and breathtakingly handsome vampires... [the books] leave such a big impact on the reader because they are so unconventional from the typical ending... I feel as if I too, like our heroines, long for the vampires that they are so in love with! I would also like to say that I found your writing style amazing in "Dracula, My Love." It seems that you were able to truly capture the spirit of the time, which must have required a great deal of research and careful attention to detail... Thank you for the wonderful books. I do intend to read "The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Brontë" and "The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen" in the near future and I am certain that I will love them too. Take care and I look forward to reading more of your current and future works.

Sara Goodwin

5 stars. I LOVED this book. It brought me to tears.

Jessica (Canton, OH)

One word - BEAUTIFUL! I just loved it! 5 stars.

Victoria (Chagrin Falls, OH)

I liked how this novel moved quickly; I couldn't read the pages fast enough. Syrie James created a beautiful snowed in world, through her writing I could smell Michael's woodworking room, the leather of his books, the tack and hay in his horse stable, the crisp fresh mountain air and the earthiness of Michael's conservatory. Yes, this wasn't your typical dark, gothic vampire story, but a modern day love story between a human and a vampire with an unexpected yet heartfelt ending. Reading the beautiful poem at the end bought tears to my eyes (no kidding) only enforcing the haunting beauty I found within its pages remaining with me for days afterward.

Laura (Sydney, Australia )

Dear Syrie, Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed Nocturne. It was perfect to curl up with during long, snowy days here in upstate NY. Just the PERFECT get-away. And thank you SO much for making it a LOVE story not a SEX extravaganza... Romance will do. Nothing wrong with guys in cloaks and fangs if done right. Nocturne fills the bill completely. Thank You! Regards, Lucilla Epps, fellow author (Phantom's Legacy)

Lucilla Epps (Ballston Lake, NY)

This book was much better than I originally expected it to be. I loved the characters of Nicole and Michael. I loved that she was close to my age (which is so hard to find outside of cheesy chick lit), and I loved that Michael was British. Is there anything hotter than a man with a British accent? I loved the plot (which I don't want to give away, it's best to be surprised with this book), and I especially loved the setting. I was jealous that Nicole got to be snowed in in a beautiful chalet, which is one of my dreams!! This was a book that I hated to be separated from, but hated to finish. The ending was absolutely heartbreaking, which I felt down to my core. Not what I was expecting. I really really hope that Syrie James is able to write a sequel! 5 stars.

Christine (Las Vegas, NV)

Hi Syrie, I wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading your books. I'm reading Nocturne at the moment and can't wait to finish it. I look forward to reading your next book. Have you ever thought of doing a podcast to talk about your books? Your newsletter has lots of interesting information and I'm sure your podcast would too.

Maureen (Rochester, NY)

I read this over the course of one snowy day and I really enjoyed it. A beautiful, romantic tale with two characters I hope to meet up with again soon.

Denise K. (Morris Plains, NJ)

You neeeeeeed to write another book about Nicole and Michael. I want to read more about them... I read the book in less than a day because I couldn't put it down! You rreeaallyy neeeed to write another book about them pppplllleeeeaaaasssseee!

Savannah Richards (South Bend, IN)

I purchased "Nocturne" last week. I finished reading it today. Please, please tell me there is going to be another book!!!! I couldn't put it down! What a great story!

Rhonda Way (Muskoka, Ontario, Canada)

Dear Syrie,
Your novel Nocturne is perfect. I started the story and I couldn't let myself put it down. I finished it in a couple of days and now I'm dying for more. I fell in love with the story line and the especially with the characters. They were heart-breakingly perfect. I will forever wish that I could have the writing ability that you have been gifted with, and I promise that I will never forget Nocturne. It is possibly the most romantic love story that I will ever stumble across and I thank you so much for writing it. I have to be honest with you. I cried when I finished it! You have done such an enchanting job with your writing and I hope that you have many more books just as amazing as this one to come.

Do you plan on making a second book for Nocturne? I know that if you wrote a second book it would be the greatest gift for your readers and, well, me! If I heard of a second novel pertaining to Nocturne, I would buy it without a second thought. So please, will there be another book?! Thank you so much and I wish you the best of luck with your writing future.

Ashley Swieter

I just finished reading Nocturne, I absolutely loved it! It was a lovely read and I am looking forward to the next in this series... ? I hated to see it end (which is the mark of a really good book, I think.) Thanks for sharing your talent with those of us who love to read.

Mary Sue Russell (Grants Pass, OR)

I can not tell you enough how much I enjoyed reading Nocturne. I was so drawn to the characters and so immersed in their lives that I didn't want it to end. I finished the book with lots of tears. It was wonderful!! On a separate note I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dracula, My Love. I loved the whole twist on a seemingly bad boy with a soft side... Thank you for sharing your spellbinding creativity with the world. You have fast become one of my favorite authors and I look forward to your next novel.

Rebecca Roth (McSherrystown, PA)

I absolutely loved this story! Of course I am one of many hoping for a possible sequel? I'd love to see more to Michael and Nicole's love story. That was a beautiful and bittersweet ending to Nocurne and I read in the authors note that in her mind that wasn't the VERY end to their love story. Please, Vanguard, let the wonderful author elaborate on that idea and write a sequel!

I have read Nocturne twice now and have lent your book to countless friends. This book is AMAZING! Please you must write a sequel. I am eagerly awaiting the release of your new book. I have been backtracking your other books too, but I have been captivated by Michael and Nicole's story.

Mrs. James, my wife wanted me to post a comment. She read Dracula My Love & Nocturne loved them both. She was glued to her chair on both books. She can't wait for the sequel to Nocturne.

You have to write another book about Nicole and Michael. I cried while I read the end of the book. I love your books and share them with all the girls at work. I can't wait to read your next book.

I like the way you did Nocturne. I just wish that you write another book. The last three pages left me with tears in my eyes, especially the poem of Oh my love's like a red red rose.

Dear Syrie, thank you for the book Nocturne, please continue with it. I couldn't put it down. I love to read, ever since i was a little girl. I do hope you do continue with Michael and Nicole.

Syrie, I just finished reading Nocturne, and my heart is breaking... I was thinking [of ways] you could continue their story... I totally enjoyed Noctune, and I loved Dracula, My Love.

Hi Syrie... I just finished reading Nocturne. I have to say that I am not a big vampire fan, but I do love these two characters. I could visualize the home in the Colorado mountains, the beautiful setting and all the snow !! Nicole was an interesting character as was Michael. I too am looking forward to your next book to see what happens to the two of them. Congratulations !!

I finished Nocturne and loved it. I read it one day while it was snowing. It seemed so fitting! I posted a review for you on Amazon. I realize the value and impact of reviews. I loved Michael and Nicole and hope to catch up with them again soon! Thank you.

I just read your interview, and I too love the idea of a good vampire. My main character Christian Du Maure is such a one. He loves a mortal woman and through time has tried to keep a promise he made to her in 1790! He is devoted and responsible yet angry and isolated, afraid of his very human desires. The theme of the "good" vampire is compelling, isn't it?
